That’s a lot of styling.

It looked great in person(except the nose) but holy crap between the metallic silver paint and all the angles, I could not get a clean shot of it anywhere.

I can deal with it from a direct side profile, I even don’t mind it as it has a tall greenhouse for a modern car, and no DLO fail.
But the front and back, yikes. It can be even more offensive with the weird two toning/semi faux floating C-pillar.

I think the back and side look great but the front reminds me of a dumbo/elephant nose. It’s not even the whole front either but just the painted piece that goes below the Toyota logo ruins the rest of it.

I really liked your article on the Camry and I like the 2 tone on the Camry.

Thanks! I wrote it on my plane flight back from Key West with a few drinks and it came out pretty well haha. The only thing I don’t like about the 2 tone is that it seems very random where they divided it when you are up close.

Two-tone is tough to pull off on a modern car. I think following the crease of the top of the trunk lid was a wise choice as it emphases
the downward sloping trunk, and the slope of the line also suggests a shorter sloping roof-line
than it actually is. I will have to find one of these irl to stare out to see if it works at as well as it does in the pictures.

It’s also not a smooth transition a nd looks like a wrap. It was kind of a weird deal. I’ll see if I can scout out some pictures.

Very c
ool. I’ve thought about doing the same, but instead of posting the review link
I’d just run the photos. I think I’m over 70 cars by now.

It’s being Kinja’d quite well though.
